What happens if you don’t recharge
Once your plan’s validity ends, outgoing calls and data stop first. Incoming service usually continues through a short grace period, after which the number is suspended and can eventually be deactivated. Recharging in time keeps your number — read the full SIM expiry rules for exact timelines.

What is the minimum recharge to keep a SIM active?
The cheapest option is the lowest cost-per-day plan in the table above — currently BSNL ₹397 at ₹2.6/day. A validity plan keeps your number and incoming service active for its full duration.
What happens if I don’t recharge before validity ends?
After validity ends, outgoing services stop first; incoming usually continues for a short grace period, then the number enters a suspension window before it can be permanently deactivated and recycled. Recharging within the grace period keeps the same number.
Is a validity-only plan cheaper than a data plan for a second SIM?
Almost always. If a SIM only needs to receive OTPs and calls, a long-validity plan costs a few rupees a day versus a full monthly data pack — the cost-per-day column shows the gap.
